Dinner Made From Left Over Ingredients #6 & No Carb Meal #3

Today, I thought to myself, I don't want to go to the supermarket. Then I also thought, CM is still on his no carb diet, maybe he's missing carb food. So this is what I came up with.... not pretty looking but it tasted OK!

Finely Chopped Chinese Cabbage + Ham W/Egg
(So he can pretend they're "Asian Savoury Pancakes")

Thinly Sliced Chinese Cabbage + Ham
(So he can pretend they're "Noodles")

Jumbo Restaurant

Requested by my friend who was visiting from Japan, we went to Jumbo Restaurant for our last supper.

The Famous Jumbo Kingdom

Thousand Year Old Egg W/Ginger

Deep Fried Salt & Pepper Calamari

Tofu W/Veggies

Fried Rice

Steamed Lobster

Then for desserts, we headed to Top Deck At The Jumbo (Managed by Cafe Deco Group)

Top Deck At The Jumbo

Apple Tart

Dinner was pricy (because of seafood), but overall, food was good, and my friends enjoyed experiencing dining on a boat. I really liked the Top Deck and I'd love to go there for afternoon tea sometimes.

Spicy Stirfry Cabbage topped W/Seaweed

Rosemary Roast Chicken

(Ok, I didn't make the chicken, I bought it from supermarket)

Food in Sanya, Hainan Island!

For our first year anniversary, we went for a get away in Sanya, which is called the Hawaii of China! It's less than 1hr 15mins flight from HK and cheap and had a great time there! There are 3 beaches in Sanya. Sanya Bay, Da Dong Hai, and Yalong Bay. Yalong Bay is a resort area and there must have been around 10 resorts nearby.

Took my friend from Japan to eat African food at Marena! I ordered basically the same thing we ate when we went there the first time, except for one thing... Can you guess what it is?

Tomato Beef Stew W/"Tomato" Rice

Deep Fried Fish W/Salad and Fries on the side

I initially wanted to order the Tomato Rice we had from this post (check out the last picture), but I think they misunderstood me.... Oh well!

Dinner Made From Left Over Ingredients #5

Tonight's dinner made from left over eggs and tomatoes + bolognaise sauce. CM says he needs meat!!!

Tomato Omlette

Sushi Shota

Had lunch with my mom at Sushi Shota. I'm quite a Japanese Food snob, and I really don't enjoy eating non-authentic ones, so when we go eat Japanese, I try to go somewhere owned or managed by Japanese. No dissapointment for sure.

Sushi Shota is a bit pricy, so lunch time would be best to go as the price is a lot more reasonable. We usually get the sushi set where you can pick 8 sushi + 1 sushi roll. Fresh Sashimi... yummmmm!!!

Picture time...!

Chawanmushi - Steamed Egg

Miso Soup - Nothing special but I took a pic anyway :)

Sushi - Mom's Selection

Sushi - My Selection

It also comes with desserts!
Beard Papa cream puff or Ice Cream (Sesame, Green Tea or Red Beans)

DM and JM came over for dinner!

Omrice Curry (Carrot Rice)

I know I know, I'm always making carrot rice... it's because I always end up having left over carrots when we make curry!

Caesar Salad

My dinner tonight...

Caesar Salad topped W/grilled chicken (marinated by CM)

Have you ever wondered why it's called "Caesar Salad"? I have. So I checked. Click HERE if you wanna know. I didn't even realized we've been using the dressing by the guy who invented caesar salad! No wonder it's good...

Man, I learn so much from wikipedia.....
